It's been a year today and we still miss you more and more everyday.

It is nearly a year since Arpana was snatched away by a very heinous dastardly act.

Can we (her friends, EMC colleagues, bikers, acquaintances, people who came to know about her in the news and are touched by her life) have a get-together in her memory sometime this month and in Bellevue/Redmond?

I personally do not know her, but along with my Mother and like any other person are very touched by her short but sweet life. Not a day goes by with out thinking of this kid. I would like to pay my respects to this sweet young woman.

Any positive input from all of you is appreciated regarding this get-together.

To parents, sister, and grandmother: I hope time is healer. I hope and pray that you are bestowed with very strong inner strength to tide over this pain, only you as a parent know. I am sure Arpana is with you every moment of your long life. God bless you!

I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. I saw her story on Washington's Most Wanted. I pray for a quick resolution and for comfort for you all.

I did not know Arpana--she could have been my daughter. I am so sad that she came to our country and this is what we did to her. Her family entrusted their precious girl to us and we did not honor their trust by taking care of their girl. How terribly sad--to lose such a brilliant person and a shining light. We will remember you. May God bless and keep your family and may something good come of this death which now seems so senseless.

It's hard to think that it's been nearly a year. A year without a good friend, someone who was always smiling and such an amazing and vibrant person. I can only more cherish the times we were able to get lunch together at work or ride to events together after all this time. Arpana will always be remembered as one of the most incredible people I was ever able to meet.

I have met arpana akka 3-4 times..and every interaction i had with her is Vivid in my memories..!!she had one of the best smile i hav ever seen..!she was an embodiment of beauty and positive energy!she was one of my dad's favourite student tht's how i got 2 know more abt her! i still cant come into terms that she is no more!!May her soul rest in peace.

Arpana stayed with us in NJ after she lost her graduate housing. We loved her like a little sister and are heart-broken and still grieving. Our kids mourn her too.

I just received this awful news today. I had the privilige to be Arpana's supervisor for a time at Rutger's University Health Services. Arpana was extremely bright, with a wonderful future ahead. In working with her, we worked in the same office, so I was blessed with the opportunity to get to know her. My deepest sympothies and heartfelt apologies go out to her friends and family. I know she will be greatly missed. Today, my heart hurts.

We Indians are so proud of fellow techies, and then I realised you were equally accomplished in being a rider in US and the rider community loves you.

And what a well rounded human personality: perpetual smile, your tech brilliance, hard worker, accomplished rider, super friendly, kind soul, heard you would even accompany the firefighters, poet, top level engineer, ... and the list goes on. Arpana I miss you so much. It is hard to believe what happened. I can not make sense of it and probally never will. I walk by your apartment everyday. I loved being your neighbor.
